Road To Recovery? Kevin Hart Faces Four Months Of Physical Therapy After Car Crash
Will it be some time before Kevin Hart can resume working after the car wreck that left him hospitalized and seriously injured?
The Blast has reported that a source said the comedian is being told he must go through at least four months of physical therapy before he can return to his hectic acting schedule.
As RadarOnline.com reported, Hart, 40, was a passenger in a car with driver Jared S. Black and his wife's personal trainer Rebecca Broxterman when the horrifying accident occurred.
The Department of California Highway Patrol’s Report Of Collision News Release revealed that on 1:45 a.m. Sunday morning, September 1, “Black immediately lost control of the vehicle and the Plymouth left the road and rolled over down the northern embankment.”
The report continued, “Two of the three occupants were trapped in the vehicle. The remaining occupant and owner of the vehicle, Kevin Hart, left the scene to his nearby residence to get medical attention.”
Rescuers had to cut the top off of the classic car which is owned by Hart.
An unidentified woman later called 911from his Calabasas home in search of medical attention for Hart. The female begged for “someone to come get (Hart).”
“I don’t know what happened,” she said, “He’s not coherent at all…he can’t move.”
Hart, who is married to wife Eniko Parrish, 35, “sustained major back injuries” and underwent successful surgery in which his surgeons fused his spine in different places. The Upside star is still, however, required to endure what will reportedly be "a very painful and arduous" four months of physical therapy.
The process of rehabilitation will reportedly start at the hospital with guidance from medical professionals and will transfer to an outpatient environment once Hart is deemed stable enough to continue the PT there.
"It helps that he was physically in such great shape," a source shared with The Blast.
Hart and his team are hoping his pre-crash fitness will help accelerate his recovery.
