Bethenny Frankel is keeping herself occupied with charity work following her departure from the The Real Housewives of New York.
The reality star, 48, took a trip to the Bahamas with her disaster relief organization to help the survivors of Hurricane Dorian. While there, she shared social media photos of the wreckage and damage caused by the storm.
“I’m on the ground with #BStrong in the Bahamas addressing the fallout of #HurricaneDorian because #thisisacris,” Frankel wrote in the caption. “THANK YOU for your continued support — please keep donating at the link in my bio!”
Frankel's charitable work in the Bahamas won't be a surprise to readers. As RadarOnline.com reported, she revealed her intentions in a statement announcing her Bravo show exit.
“I have decided to leave the ‘Housewives’ franchise to explore my next chapter,” Frankel told Variety. “It’s time to move on and focus on my daughter, my philanthropy and my production partnership with Mark Burnett, producing and starring in shows which represent a shift in the conversation for women.”“I hate when a housewife either gets fired or says she quits… When they go on record and say, ‘I just need to spend time with my kids,’” Judge told the E! show. “I’m just like, ‘Really? Because you weren’t spending time because we work three hours a day?’”
Frankel's choice to walk away from the show marks her second time leaving the show since joining the cast in 2008. She initially quit in 2010 and took a 5 year hiatus prior to her return in 2015.
But haters have slammed her decision to exit the show that made her famous.
The Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Judge, 51, blasted Frankel for her reasons for leaving.
During an interview with The Daily Pop, Tamra said, “I hate when a housewife either gets fired or says she quits… When they go on record and say, ‘I just need to spend time with my kids,’” Judge told the E! show. “I’m just like, ‘Really? Because you weren’t spending time because we work three hours a day?’”
The network and co-stars were also reportedly upset about the Bravo star's sudden move.
As for Frankel's friends, they were the least shocked , RadarOnline.com learned.
They "knew she was keeping a promise" to her late ex-boyfriend Dennis Shields who made her "promise him she would one day explore bigger opportunities," a source said.
