Liam Hemsworth plans to stay in his native Australia in the wake of his divorce from Miley Cyrus, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal.
“He’ll still come to LA to do business and shoot movies, but this whole experience has really reinforced to Liam that Hollywood’s not for him in the long term,” the insider said.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Hemsworth, 29, and Cyrus, 26, announced their sudden and shocking split on August 10 after just eight months of marriage.
The heartbroken Hemsworth has reportedly taken the breakup especially hard. On Monday, August 12, the Hunger Games actor shared an emotional message on his Instagram, along with a photo of a gorgeous sunset.
“Hi all, Just a quick note to say that Miley and I have recently separated and I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward,” he wrote.
Liam looked somber as he went on a froyo run with his superhero brother Chris later that day. He’s been spending time in Byron Bay, Australia at Chris’ $4.3 million beach house while sorting out his feelings.
Meanwhile, Cyrus has been busy kissing Brody Jenner‘s ex, Kaitlynn Carter, 30, in Lake Como, Italy.
Liam was reportedly caught completely caught off guard by his estranged wife’s girl-on-girl PDA fest. But RadarOnline.com has learned Cyrus hasn’t been satisfied in the sack with her husband “for months.”
“She was bored in her marriage, and she was bored in bed with Liam,” a source close to the sexually-fluid Cyrus told RadarOnline.com.
And Liam, apparently, was bored with Los Angeles.
“He’s taking a long break and heading back to Byron Bay to be with his brother and mates, do plenty of surfing and soul-searching,” the source confided. “Then he’ll figure out his next move.”
