Trouble In Paradise? Miranda Lambert's Cop Husband Takes 'Leave Of Absence' From NYPD
Is Miranda Lambert’s fame affecting her hot cop husband’s career? RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that Brendan McLoughlin has taken a leave of absence from the NYPD.
The New York Police Department’s Public Information Office confirmed to RadarOnline.com on Friday, July 19 that Lambert’s hunky husband is taking a break from his role as a police officer. The news comes less than two weeks after McLoughlin was spotted gallivanting around Manhattan with the country singer while wearing a navy blue NYPD t-shirt.
“Police Officer Brendan McLoughlin is on an authorized leave of absence,” the police department confirmed to RadarOnline.com on July 19.
Although NYPD officials are not legally allowed to disclose why McLoughlin fled his job, the department said members of the service take leaves “for various reasons, many of which are personal in nature.”
As RadarOnline.com readers know, the “Vice” singer shocked fans on Valentine’s Day when she announced to her 3.5 million Instagram followers that she tied the knot with the cop.

“In honor of Valentine’s Day I wanted to share some news. I met the love of my life. And we got hitched! My heart is full,” the country singer wrote on the social media platform.
Lambert was previously married to country singer Blake Shelton before the pair divorced in July 2015.
The couple’s quickie wedding in February stirred up some drama, however. As RadarOnline.com reported, Lambert’s new husband welcomed a baby with another woman three months prior in November 2018.
Lambert and McLoughlin have since spent a lot of time in New York City in recent months. On July 1, the pair was spotted getting handsy as they strolled through NYC’s West Village.
The pair has also been spotted out and about in Lambert's home base of Nashville.
