Jessica Simpson is desperate for a total makeover, inside and out!
“She's ready to change her image,” a source revealed, noting the entertainer-turned-entrepreneur “wants to lose weight” and relaunch her mass-market fashion brand as the next big thing in luxury.
“She hopes to go into couture with her business,” the source told Radar. “Her influence is more Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who went from actresses to big-time designers.”
As part of her plan, Simpson, 39, is considering collaborations with established females in fashion, such as famed designers Diane Von Furstenberg and Donatella Versace.
And, noted the source, she is certain she could “make a splash with her lofty dream of debuting at Paris Fashion Week with Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner walking in her show.”
Unlike Kanye West and other celebrities who have dipped their toe in the fashion waters, “Jessica doesn’t want to design her collections fully herself, because she knows people won’t take her seriously unless she has a known designer behind her,” continued the source.
So does she have any hope of accomplishing her goal?
“Her money and career is not on stage anymore, and she’s been away from singing so long that her fashion strategy may work," the source insisted.
As Radar previously reported, the former pop star has been laying low since she gave birth to her third child, Birdie, in March.
But in addition to plotting her high-fashion goals behind the scenes, she has been dieting and working out like crazy with husband Eric Johnson to shed the baby weight.
And, of course, the star's penning her first tell-all memoir, which will be released in 2020.
