George Michael's ex-boyfriend Fadi Fawaz was arrested on Tuesday night for allegedly wrecking the late singer's London home, as The Sun has reported.

Police officers responded to the house and busted Fawaz, 46, after neighbors reportedly heard loud smashing noises and saw water gushing out of the front door.

A spokesman told The Sun, “Police were called on Tuesday, 23 July at around 7 p.m. to a report of a man seen on the roof of an address.

“Officers attended and the man was no longer on the roof but inside the address, which had extensive damage.

“Due to the damage inside the property the London Fire Brigade attended.

“The man has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated criminal damage. He has been taken into custody at a north London police station.”

Fawaz has been living at the superstar's London home, worth about $6 million in U.S dollars, since Michael, 53, was found dead in bed on Christmas Day in 2016.

The news comes after, as RadarOnline.com reported, The Sun on Sunday said earlier this month that Fawaz had gone into a rage and broken multiple windows and fan lights in the luxurious house.

At that time, a workman at a nearby property claimed to the newspaper, “There was glass flying everywhere. He went absolutely berserk.”

Another worker alleged, “He just started going crazy and smashing up the place. It was scary.”

Fawaz admitted smashing the windows, but contended, “I was renovating. I was changing things around.

“I can ask when it’ll be done and let you know. It’s all right, it is all in hand,” he told a reporter earlier this month.

Fawaz has been said to be "squatting" at the home. Michael's family members are battling to regain control of all his properties and his estimated $150 million fortune.

They plan to force Fawaz to leave the estate.

But Michael's former lover has allegedly vowed to stay on at the singer’s mansion, according to The Sun on Sunday.

A source told the British publication that Fawaz informed pals, “I’ll only be leaving in a box.”

Fawaz has claimed that he and the "Faith" singer were still together when Michael died -- but it's believed they had split up.

As RadarOnline.com has reported, Michael's untimely death stunned the world more than two years ago.

It was learned that Fawaz had called 911 after he found the singer "cold" and "blue" in his bed in Michael's London home.

Former hairdresser Fawaz, as RadarOnline.com readers know, was grilled for weeks by authorities over Michael's untimely death, until police finally issued a statement clearing him of foul play. A coroner's report attributed the star's death to natural causes.

Now, after Fawaz's arrest, a neighbor has told the British publication about the house scandal, “The damage inside…is really bad. I’ve never seen anything like it.

“Every fixture and fitting, every door and window, everything George left in there - it’s all completely destroyed.

“Even the toilets and sinks have been smashed. There’s major damage to the walls and even the ceilings.

“This can’t have happened in just one night, he must have been systematically smashing the place up for a long time.

“It’s such a shame because George loved that place and it used to be so beautiful.”
