A British coroner revealed George Michael died of natural causes after suffering from heart disease and a fatty liver, RadarOnline.com has learned.
In his autopsy report, Darren Salter, senior coroner for Oxfordshire, said that the singer died of "dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver."
"Dilated cardiomyopathy is a condition in which the heart's ability to pump blood is limited, while myocarditis is inflammation of the heart muscle," CBS News reports.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, 53-year-old Michael was found dead by boyfriend Fadi Fawaz on December 25 at his Oxfordshire residence in England.
In a shocking recording of the 911 call, Fawaz, who has said he slept in his car outside the singer's home in the village of Goring, on Christmas Eve, told the emergency dispatcher, "He's cold and blue."
Fawaz also said he'd been trying to wake the "Careless Whisper" singer for an hour.
"He's very stiff," Michael's boyfriend, 43, told the 911 operator.
The hair stylist was questioned by the police in their investigation of Michael's death but ultimately cleared him of any foul play. Following the release of Michael's official cause of death, Fawaz tweeted: "The truth is out."
