Paris Jackson is visiting her namesake city Paris, France, just days before the tragic 10-year anniversary of her superstar father Michael's death.
The singer/actress, 21, has posted about the trip with musician boyfriend Gabriel Glenn and a group of friends on her social media account.
Paris was allegedly conceived in the city of love and she seemed to be honoring the memory of her late dad.
On Instagram, Paris wrote with a photo of herself, "Rare picture of my sincere smile because I'm so happy to be in my second city of origin."
Michael's death anniversary will be this Tuesday.
Fans around the world were stunned on June 25, 2009 when he was declared dead at the age of 50 amid his preparations for a blockbuster series of comeback concerts.
The shock only got worse when the sordid details of the "Thriller" singer's death from cardiac arrest caused by a combination of prescription drugs were exposed.
Michael's doctor, Conrad Murray, was later convicted of involuntary manslaughter for giving Jackson a lethal dose of anesthesia.
This week will be rough for Paris, who allegedly tried to kill herself earlier this year, on March 16.
Paris was hospitalized at the time, but she has vehemently denied the report that she tried to commit suicide.
The King of Pop's daughter has had to deal with troubling issues recently.
Michael's legacy is in tatters after the explosive documentary Leaving Neverland featured Wade Robson and James Safechuck alleging that the singer had molested them when they were boys. The Jackson family has denied the claims.
A friend of Paris told The Mirror, "The last few months have been incredibly hard for her what with the claims that have been made against Michael.
"She retreated and had a lot of reflection.
"But she is in a better space now. There is a lot of trepidation what with the anniversary coming up, but she actually wanted to feel closer to her father and she does now.
"Being in Paris has acted as a healing process for her. It's helped her considerably."
In addition to Paris, Michael raised sons Prince Michael, 22, and Blanket, 17 – now known as Bigi.
Prince recently graduated from college with honors, but higher-profile Paris has had problems in the public eye.
The siblings reportedly all wear jewelry containing Michael's ashes.
While Paris believes she was conceived in France, her mother Debbie Rowe, Michael's ex-wife, has claimed she never had sex with him despite bearing two of his kids.
The eccentric pop star also had a mysterious marriage to Elvis' daughter, Lisa Marie Presley.
