RadarOnline.com readers know she was diagnosed with stage II throat cancer in 2017. And while doctors removed the illness two months later, it returned last year. Beth was initially going through chemotherapy, but recently revealed it was not for her.

“Chemotherapy is not my bag, people. Sorry, that’s not for me,” she said during a speech at the Source Church in Bradenton, Florida this Mother’s Day. “So for me, this is the ultimate test of faith. This is my ultimate lesson. And it will either be taught to me or to you. And I am fine with taking the hit for everyone else. Because I think I know another guy who did the same thing.”

Now, a rep for her has told PEOPLE her condition is “quite serious,” but on his Twitter, Doug said there’s a lot of “fake news” surrounding his wife’s health, and he will give an official update soon.
