Beth Chapman, the beloved wife of Dog the Bounty Hunter star Duane Chapman, was placed in a medically-induced coma over the weekend, her family said in a statement. According to Hawaii News Now, Beth was admitted to the ICUat the Queen’s Medical Center in Hawaii. It's a devastating setback after a long cancer battle for Beth, 51. "Please say your prayers for Beth right now thank you love you," Duane tweeted fans on Sunday, June 23.
Beth was diagnosed in November 2017 with stage 2 throat cancer. But as RadarOnline.com reported, her cancer returned last year and she underwent emergency surgery on her throat on November 27 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Afterwards, Duane exclusively revealed to RadarOnline.com that his cancer-stricken wife had made the decision to leave the hospital in California against her doctors’ advice. They returned to their Colorado home at her insistence. “Half of her lung was full of water,” an emotional Duane told RadarOnline.com at that time.
The reality TV wife began chemotherapy in December, and in April was rushed to a hospital in Hawaii withserious breathing issues.
Duane, 66, and Beth starred in their hit A&E reality television show from 2004 until 2012.
