'Grateful To Be Alive'! Demi Lovato Breaks Silence On Her Near-Deadly Overdose
Demi Lovato finally broke her silence on Friday night about the overdose that nearly killed her four months ago. The singer/actress, 26, wrote a series of tweets, first noting, "Someday I’ll tell the world exactly what happened why it happened and what my life is like today."
"I still need space and time to heal " Lovato explained. "I am sober and grateful to be alive and taking care of ME." As RadarOnline.com readers know, the former Disney star was found unresponsive when paramedics arrived at her Hollywood Hills home following an overdose.
In the scary July 24 incident, Lovato was rushed to the hospital after the emergency personnel responded to her house. She was allegedly "unconscious" after a night long bender, according to a 911 call.
In June, Lovato had shocked fans by confessing she'd relapsed on drugs and alcohol. She admitted it by singing about the problem in her heartbreaking song “Sober.” After her hospital stay, she went into rehab for 90 days, getting released in early November.
Since then, as RadarOnline.com has reported, Lovato has been getting on with her life. She recently was caught in a passionate make out session with her new boyfriend, Henri Levy outside of a romantic restaurant in Malibu.
