Demi Lovato shocked fans when she stepped out holding hands with her brand-new boyfriend Luke Rockhold on Friday night, Nov. 12. Click through to get all the details about their big debut as a new couple.
The 24-year-old singer and the UFC fighter, 31, were caught hand-in-hand as they arrived at Madison Square Garden for UFC 205.
Both were matching in sleek black attire — Demi even showing off some leg to impress her new man.
Inside the venue, the cameras again caught the couple getting cozy, where Rockhold kept his arm around Demi most of the night.
According to what a source told E! News last week, "Demi is hanging out with Luke. It's pretty new and fun at this point. She likes being around him." Added the insider, "She thinks Luke is a cool dude and he makes her smile. She is the kind of girl that takes day by day and just lives in the moment."
But Lovato's debut with Rockhold came at an interesting time. Just last month, her ex Wilmer Valderrama was caught with his former girlfriend Minka Kelly. As RadarOnline.com reported, Lovato and Valderrama broke up earlier this year in June after six years.
"After almost 6 loving and wonderful years together, we have decided to end our relationship," the couple wrote. "This was an incredibly difficult decision for both of us, but we have realized more than anything that we are better as best friends. We will always be supportive of one another," the statement continued.
But according to other sources, the couple may have been living very different lives with their work schedules, plus differing views on sobriety.
"Wilmer is not sober, so her friends sometimes worry that he could lead her back to dangerous old habits," a source told RadarOnline.com during another rocky time during their relationship in 2014. "But Wilmer is not an addict and respects her sobriety very much."
"Demi is like a rock and is very dedicated to remaining sober," the insider said. Do you think Lovato is moving too fast with Rockhold? Tell us in the comments below!
