Convicted Felon Insists He’s Innocent Of JonBenét Ramsey's Murder

A sleazy convicted felon claims in prison letters he has nothing to do with the brutal death of beauty queen JonBenét Ramsey, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal.

In the letters obtained by RadarOnline.com, convicted and imprisoned predator Keith Schwinaman was quick to proclaim his innocence for the 1996 beating, sex assault and strangulation of the six-year-old pageant princess in Boulder, Colo.

However, when asked how he became linked to the Ramsey case Schwinaman, 53, told RadarOnline.com: “I was living in the area and committing crimes around the same time period.”

And Schwinaman’s wife, Heather Kubes, told RadarOnline.com she cannot give “a 100 percent alibi” for her husband the evening of Dec. 25 into the wee hours of the next morning when

Ramsey was knocked unconscious, bound with duct tape, molested and strangled with a garrote.

“It wasn’t unusual for him to disappear for a few hours and have no explanation for it,” she told RadarOnline.com. “I have no idea what he was capable of. I think anything is possible.”

“If you look at JonBenet’s murder and Schwinaman’s crimes for just the methods of operation, a lot of similarities fit,” said retired Boulder Colo., police detective Bob Whitson. “But what we didn’t have was any physical evidence against him.”

What’s more, just one year before Ramsey’s grisly murder, Schwinaman pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault on a child and was hit with a four-year deferred sentence.

In another explosive detail, Schwinaman’s wife told RadarOnline.com the pervert always wore a cross necklace of hers, but it vanished sometime between 1996 and 1998. The same type of gold cross was found around Ramsey’s neck when she was killed in the basement of her Boulder home.

And in a 2003 plea deal, Schwinaman agreed to serve a 32-year prison sentence for attacks against three women between 1993 and 1996, which bore uncanny similarities to the Ramsey case.

Despite the shocking potential evidence, it is possible Schwinaman will never be charged with her murder because of the 2003 deal he struck.

“He was told that no homicides would be included in the deal, but if he didn’t confess to everything and they found out about it later, he could be charged,” Whitson told RadarOnline.com.

Schwinaman, caged at the Arkansas Valley Correctional Facility in Ordawy, Colo., is eligible for parole this November according to the Colorado Department of Corrections.
