Jackson Odell Sudden Death: Body Was Discovered By Sober House Manager, Coroner Says

The body of The Goldbergs star Jackson Odell was discovered by the manager of the sober living facility where he was staying.
“He went to check on Mr. Odell and found him in his room unresponsive,” Ed Winter, assistant chief of operations for the Los Angeles coroner's office told RadarOnline.com exclusively. “He called paramedics and they pronounced him dead at the scene.”
As RadarOnline.com reported, the songwriter and child star’s lifeless body was found the afternoon of Friday June 8 at a home in Tarzana.
Winter said no other sober roommates were present at the time, aside from manager, and the exact cause of Odell’s death, remains a mystery.
“He didn’t appear to have been intoxicated, because there were no drugs at the scene and no drugs were found in the house,” Winter added.
Although a separate law enforcement source told RadarOnline.com it was a heroin overdose, official word could still be a few weeks away.
“The cause of death is deferred pending further tests and toxicology, which will take approximately three weeks,” Winter concluded.
Odell was was best known for his role on The Goldbergs, but he also appeared in iCarly, Modern Family and Arrested Development. He also carved out a career as a songwriter, most recently writing the soundtrack for the 2018 movie Forever Your Girl.
