Ann Curry Claims She Warned NBC About Matt Lauer — Six Years Ago
Ann Curry warned NBC about Matt Lauer — six years ago! According to The Washington Post, a female staffer came crying to Curry, 61, in 2012 to tell her she’d been “sexually harassed physically” by Lauer, 60. After that, the TV host told executives to watch out for the shamed anchor and to monitor how he treated women.
“She was afraid of losing her job… I believed her,” Curry said in her interview. “I told management they had a problem and they needed to keep an eye on him and how he deals with women.”
While the network claimed there were no records of Curry’s alleged warning, the former Today host assured The Post that there was “pervasive verbal sexual harassment” at NBC.
As RadarOnline.com readers know, Curry was mysteriously fired that same year, after 15 years with the network. Many, till this day, blame Lauer for her sudden dismissal.
After nemesis Lauer was let go from the show following a string of sexual harassment claims made against him by former female employees and stars, Curry admitted that she had to “check herself” before celebrating his Karma.

“I wish I could say that I was celebrating,” she told PEOPLE earlier this year. “But actually I immediately checked myself. Because I knew women had suffered.”
Lauer admitted the sexual misconduct and harassment claims against him held “enough truth” to make him feel ashamed. He has since stayed away from the spotlight, and reportedly been focused on fixing his marriage — which also seems to be crumbling.
