Mad Man? Jon Hamm Still Reeling From Split With Jennifer Westfeldt

Jon Hamm's long-time love Jennifer Westfeldt, who split with him on the eve of his trip to rehab last year, has assured friends that despite their regular appearances in public, they will never get back together.

Part of the reason Hamm, 45, and 46-year-old Westfeldt have been spotted out and about is due to the bond they forged over the 18 years they were together.

"Jon will always be friends with Jen and he looks after their dog when she can't, but as part of his rehab he's stayed away from relationships for the last year," explained the friend to RadarOnline.com.

"The fact that they still talk and hang out a bit has some friends hoping there was a chance, but Jon is in recovery and Jen is supporting him, not trying to re-ignite their relationship," continued the friend.

Hamm, noted the pal, will have an easier time not focusing on his failed relationship in the near-future since the Mad Men actor "has a stack of film roles in the can and many months of promotion and travel ahead of him — trips that won't involve Jen."

Regardless, added the friend, Hamm isn't in the mood for love with Westfeldt  — or anyone else.

"He's not playing the field. If you ask him, he says he's single and not ready to mingle. This guy was in one relationship for almost 20 years, and he's actually enjoying being on his own and he's not trying to rekindle anything from the past."
