'Little Women' Star Matt Fired For 'Lying' About Criminal Past At Government Job
Little Women: LA star Briana Renee’s husband Matt Grundhoffer was caught in a web of deceit just months after their dream wedding. And now, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal that the troubled reality star was also accused of telling blatant lies on the job!
According to government documents obtained by RadarOnline.com via a Freedom of Information Act request, Grundhoffer, 39, was reprimanded for omitting vital information about his criminal history and outright lying to superiors while working for the state of Washington’s Department of Social and Health Services in March 2013.
As RadarOnline.com first reported, the Lifetime villain was arrested in April 2012 for driving under the influence of alcohol. Though he was required by law to do so, Grundhoffer neglected to tell his supervisors about the damning incident, his Regional Administrator, Dr. Tara Fairfield, said in an official letter.

Eight months later, the arrest was discovered following a background check, Fairfield claimed.
“You failed to report this, which is a violation,” she stated.
Just three months following the DUI, the father of two was arrested again for domestic violence. (As RadarOnline.com revealed, he was accused of strangling his then-girlfriend in front of her young son.)
Though he did report the incident, the one-time state customer service specialist wasn’t fully honest about the crime, either.
“You were not forthcoming with all the facts and information you knew,” Fairfield continued.

In a February 2013 meeting, he allegedly told his supervisors that he was found not guilty of the assault charge.
But as RadarOnline.com reported, he was actually placed in a state treatment plan called the Friendship Diversion Program, where offenders are ordered to undergo counseling and perform community service.
He allegedly did not mention this program at all during the February discussion.
“Lying to your Appointing Authority is not acceptable and will not be tolerated,” Fairfield said.
In a separate letter, the official declared that the troubled dad could no longer remain in his position.
“It has been determined that you, Matt Grundhoffer, are no longer eligible for a department covered position within DSHS, Home and Community Services,” Fairfield wrote.
It is unclear if Grundhoffer’s employment within the DSHS was completely terminated, or if he was demoted to another department.
Regardless, he was unemployed upon meeting Renee in early 2015.
Despite his admitted cheating, Renee stuck by her husband’s side, and welcomed their son Maverick in June.
