The roads were a dangerous place today for former The Hills star Kristin Cavallari.

RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned that the 29-year-old reality star was in a car accident on Jan. 21 that landed her in the hospital.

"She was hit by another driver in Chicago," a rep for Cavallari told RadarOnline.com.

After the accident, Cavallari was rushed to the hospital.

But now, Jay Cutler's wife is getting ready to head home.

"She is doing fine and will be discharged from the hospital shortly," her rep said.

The past month has been a tough time for Cavallari.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported in December, Cavallari lost her older brother Michael.

"My heart is in a million pieces. Mikey, I could always count on you to make me laugh. You had such a good heart and will be forever missed," she captioned an Instagram picture. "I'm at a loss for words but I know u are in a better place and finally at peace. I love u so much RIP."
