Kris Jenner said she can't call her ex by her new name Caitlyn Jenner, saying that she calls her by last name only.
The mother of reality TV's royal family was asked by Access Hollywood's Billy Bush, "Can you call Caitlyn, Caitlyn?"
"No -- I say 'Jenner,'" the sexy "Momager" responded, adding that "it's hard, you know, it's really, really hard" to make the adjustment in regards to her former spouse, who she was married to from 1991 until their separation two years ago.
The 59-year-old stressed that she's very supportive of her ex in her gender journey, but calling Caitlyn by her last name is a personal way of adjusting to her ex's significant life change.
"What I have realized in all of this is that everyone handles stuff a different way," Kris said. "No matter what it is, you know. We're all people. We all have different emotions."
The mother-of-six said that she's "getting to know" Caitlyn since the two have gradually mended fences after an initial falling-out over the harsh words they exchanged in the Vanity Fair issue in which Caitlyn premiered her new self to the world.
"I just thought she would be a little bit different: Bruce had a distinct personality and, you know, had definite characteristics, and Caitlyn has some different ones, I feel."
Kris was a bit standoffish when asked if the two could form a new bond as "girlfriends" comfortable enough to "curl up on the couch."
"I don't know about curl up on the couch, but she came over for a drink last night and that was nice."
