It's no secret Kris' struggle with her ex's transformation has been difficult, but her sister said her misery is much deeper than she lets on. "Of course we all love Caitlyn but I felt so bad for Kris, she was so hurt and is still coming to terms with it," her sister, Houghton, told Britain's Heat magazine.

The ultimate reality actress, Kris is hiding her pain, her sister claimed. "Kris and Bruce had the happiest marriage. Kris doesn't talk about it much because she finds it embarrassing – I think she's hurt more than anything," Houghton said.

"Kris doesn't want the world to think her life is falling apart," her sister claimed. "She talked to our mom about it a lot. I just ask her if she's OK. I don't want to upset her. I pray for her because it's hard."

While Caitlyn has officially stopped using the name Bruce, Houghton is still using the male name -- and pronoun. "To me he'll always be Bruce, even his voice is still Bruce," she told the magazine. "We spent every Christmas, Easter and birthday with him and the family. He helped raise my daughter. He is a great man."
Houghton said that Caitlyn's daughter Kendall is struggling with the situation as well. "I don't think Kendall's used to it yet but she's the strongest she's doing so well in her career I think she's managing to cope the best," she said.

Houghton had kind words for Caitlyn, telling the magazine: "We love Bruce so much. He did a very brave thing. If it makes him happy, then it's good."

The transition has taken a toll on Houghton's sister. "It hasn't been fun for Kris," she claimed. "The whole world has seen this played out, but I think her and Caitlyn will end up as friends."

And Houghton admitted the transition was a shock. "This is something none of us dreamed would happen," she said, "but now only time will tell what happens next."
