Where did Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson go wrong? Their 24-year-old son, Chet Hanks, is currently wanted for questioning by British police after he vandalized an airport hotel room after demanding sex and drugs.
The aspiring rapper, who admittedly has a history of problems with drugs and alcohol was out partying as the guest of honor at a London club, when things began to spiral out of control. According to Mirror , a source said, “He was pretty obnoxious once he started drinking at the club. He kept saying ‘do you know who I am?’ Nobody was all that impressed and that was clearly annoying him. Nobody recognised him."
Things did not get any better after he left the club. “He then went back to the hotel with a British actor friend and three female promoters. He was sick in the car park and then went up to the room and got really loud," the source continued. “He asked the girls if they would join him in the bed, but they are not like that. So he started screaming and making a
right noise," the source remembered. "He saw some sprinkled make-up called banana powder and started asking ‘who’s got the coke?’ But nobody did drugs there."
Pilots staying at the hotel complained about the noise, and hotel employees went to try to calm Chet. "All you could hear was this smashing and crashing," the source recounted. "Next morning he was gone but the room was trashed. Everything was smashed and there was glass all over the floor.”
Local police estimate that Chet caused 1,200 GPB in damages. "We have been given the name of the suspect, a 24-year-old man from the USA," authorities said. "We are working with other agencies to try to trace him so he can be interviewed."

This is just the latest news in what has been a truly disastrous week for Chet. He received a swift backlash after posting several rants to Instagram insisting that it was his right as a white man to say the n-word regardless of who gets offended, saying that it was something called "free speech." He was also seen on video drinking alcohol, only months after having thanked Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous for helping him straighten out his life.
