The hits keep coming for the scandal-soaked Duggars, as images of Jim Bob and Michelle were removed from the website of conservative presidential candidate Mike Huckabee.

Images of the reality stars, which were once prominently displayed on the politician's site endorsing his campaign, have not been spotted on there since last Monday, ahead of the couple's controversial chat with Fox News personality Megyn Kelly.

Huckabee last week told Buzzfeed "it will be up to" the Duggars if they would join him on the campaign trail, though had not issued further statements on the topic in the wake of the televised interview, which was panned by many.

Huckabee communications director Alice Stewart on Friday told the Christian Post that the campaign had always intended to freshen up the endorsements bar on a monthly basis.

The removal of the endorsements might mark a change-of-direction for the former governor from the family's home state of Arkansas, as he previously pledged his support for for the embattled reality TV family -- after news broke that Josh Duggar had fondled five underage girls when he was 14 -- in a May 22 Facebook post.

"Josh's actions when he was an underage teen are as he described them himself, 'inexcusable,' but that doesn't mean 'unforgivable,'" Huckabee wrote. "He and his family dealt with it and were honest and open about it with the victims and the authorities.

"No purpose whatsoever is served by those who are now trying to discredit Josh or his family by sensationalizing the story."

The family previously endorsed the politician in 2008, and Jim Bob served as a representative for three years, from 1999–2002, in the Arkansas State House.
