Sorry, Teen Mom fans!
Amber Portwood's every move is captures by MTV cameras, but her wedding will not be on TV, RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal.
Despite reports that the 24-year-old reality star is planning to walk down the aisle with fiancé Matt Baier for a Teen Mom special, a family insider insists that a TV deal "has never even been discussed" with the network.
"Amber wants the wedding to be very private," the source claims. "Only her close friends and family will be invited."
The mom of 6-year-old Leah, who started dating executive recruiter Baier, 43, in the fall, hasn't gotten too far in the planning process.
"Between filming, school and promoting her book, Amber has been extremely busy," the insider explains of the Never Too Late author, who started taking college courses this week. "She wants to decompress at home in Indiana and really take the time to plan something special. She wants it to be perfect."
One decision has been made, however: The nuptials will take place in her home state of Indiana, the source says, adding that family members including her daughter, brother Shawn, and cousin Krystal will be involved.
It's a happy ending to a tough year. Portwood's father Shawn Sr. died at just 50 years old in December following liver surgery. And as chronicled on the current season of Teen Mom OG, she has been battling with Leah's father Gary Shirley, 27, over visitation issues and his relationship with pregnant girlfriend Kristina Anderson, 32.
Though Anderson trashed Portwood's parenting skills on the last episode, the source insists the MTV star is taking the high road.
"She's not angry," the insider says. "She's happy in her relationship and isn't letting those kind of comments get her down."
