Saturday Night Live came under fire last year for a lack of African-American representation. And although producer Lorne Michaels responded by adding new black members to the cast, RadarOnline.com has learned that a new controversy suggests that racist tensions could still be simmering beneath the surface at the late night show.

This past Saturday night, host Kevin Hart appeared in a skit called “Why’d You Post That?” where he played a garrulous game show host. But according to an insider, it was written for another SNL episode — featuring another black performer.

A source tells Radar, “The sketch was killed from the Chris Rock episode of SNL in December. It was supposed to be the opening sketch, and it was seen in the rehearsal, but not in the main show.”

Woody Harrelson, Cameron Diaz, James Franco, Martin Freeman, and Amy Adams all followed Rock in the host’s spot, but no one else inherited the skit until Hart.

Said the source, “Can only black people host this sketch or something?”
