After exclusively revealing to this fall that he was diagnosed with an “aggressive and fast-moving” form of stage 3 cancer, Real Housewives of Orange County villain Brooks Ayers and his on-again girlfriend Vicki Gunvalson sat down to discuss his devastating diagnosis.

“We’re going to kick it. There’s no other choice,” the bubbly blond, 52, firmly told Us Weekly in a video interview.

Gunvalson, who previously said she was “very sad” about Ayers’ recurrence of Non-Hodgkin lymphoma, admitted she “burst into tears” when he broke the sad news earlier this year.

While many of Gunvalson’s Bravo costars, including Shannon Beador and Heather Dubrow, reached out to the couple to show their support, one former close friend has remained silent.

“Never heard from Tamra Barney, interesting,” Gunvalson said. “You know what, you really find out who your true friends are when things like this happens.”

As RadarOnline.com reported, the onetime BFFs had a bitter falling out when Gunvalson discovered Barney had been bad-mouthing her relationship with Ayers to other cast members.

In another bombshell, Gunvalson revealed she moved her ailing man into her Coto de Caza, California, home in late October.

“I didn’t want him to be recovering by himself,” she explained. “I felt it was easier on both of us if we could be together.”

It looks like Gunvalson has turned a blind eye to her boyfriend’s shady behavior amid his cancer crisis. In September, The National ENQUIRER revealed that Ayers had admitted on camera to cheating on his longtime love and sleeping with prostitutes.
