Duck Dynasty is coming to the Sin City stage, in the form of the "The Duck Commander Family Musical," based on the Robertson clan of A&E fame.
The 90-minute musical will hit the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas February, the NY Times reported.
According to a statement from the Robertsons, the “semi-biographical musical” will feature music and lyrics from industry vets such as Robert Morris, Steven Morris, and Joe Shane, and direction and choreography from Jeff Calhoun (of “Grease" and “Newsies" fame).
Producer Michael David (“Jersey Boys”) told the paper “the show will end up challenging the views and assumptions of people across the political spectrum, more than most theater does.
“The Robertsons are so unusual, their story so juicy, and theater shouldn’t be limited to telling stories about people you resemble or revere.”
Korie Roberton, speaking with US Weekly, said members of the reality TV clan “love to go to musicals when we go to New York” and are “excited” about the developments.
"It’s gonna be cool,” she said, “and it’ll be another play that people can take their kids to.”
