After a federal grand jury indicted him on tax evasion charges, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino was released from custody on $250,000 bail— but he still has to abide by a judge’s strict rules.
RadarOnline.com can reveal that the former SITCH1-signed star, 32, must surrender his passport and remain in New York and New Jersey, report to pretrial services, and submit to mental health and drug testing and treatment.
Sorrentino is also ordered to “abstain from use of alcohol,” September 24 court papers state.
The former reality star checked in to rehab in 2012, later confessing he suffered from a serious painkiller addiction.
“All I had to do was get dressed for a family function and I couldn’t do that. The shirt was laid out, the belt, the pants, everything. The shower was on. I couldn’t even get out of bed,” he recalled of his darkest days.
Though he claims he’s still sober, Sorrentino will certainly face tough times ahead: Authorities claim the onetime MTV hunk and his manager brother Marc neglected to pay taxes on $8.9 million in income.
According to documents, he will be arraigned on October 6.
