King Of Posthumous Pop: Michael Jackson Easily Reigns Atop Forbes List Of Dead Celebrities Who Made The Most Money In The Past Year

With $140 million in earnings, Michael Jackson was the top earner among dead celebrities from Oct. 2013 thru this month, according to Forbes Wednesday.
"Few celebrities,” the magazine stated, “prove the point that there is life after death better than Michael Jackson.”
Releases that buoyed the singer’s stellar income in the calendar year included his posthumous album "Xscape,” and a pair of Cirque du Soleil shows.

The late “Thriller” singer was an outlier top the list, as fellow musical icon Elvis Presley finished a distant number two with $55 million in income. Beatles great John Lennon, who would have turned 74 this month, finished seventh with $12 million in earnings.
The entertainer’s longtime confidante Elizabeth Taylor landed the fourth spot on the list with $25 million in sales.
