Sherri Shepherd's estranged husband, Lamar Sally, has rejected a divorce settlement offer of a $100,000 lump sum payout, and $3,000 in monthly child support for his baby boy, after a surrogate gave birth several weeks ago, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
The former couple does have "an ironclad prenup, which Lamar is contesting. Sherri just wants to close this chapter on her life with Lamar, and offered him a one time $100,000 payment, which is more than the prenup gave him. She also offered to pay $3,000 in monthly child support, even though the baby boy isn't biologically hers," a source told Radar.
"Lamar rejected the offer, and countered that he wanted $10,000 in child support, which Sherri thinks is ridiculous and absolutely won't pay. At this point, the divorce isn't likely to settle without a trial, which Sherri is more than willing to have."
Under terms of the prenup, Sally waived any rights to collect spousal support from Shepherd.
The former The View host is alleging that Sally wasn’t straight with her regarding the terms of the surrogacy, with intents of suing her for child support.
Shepherd has a 9-year-old son, Jeffrey, from her previous marriage to first husband Jeff Tarpley.
For now, Sherri is "getting very excited to begin her role as the wicked step-mother in Cinderella," the source added.
"She has excellent lawyers in California and will let the process decide what if any financial obligation she has in regards to child support for Lamar's son."
