Fashion Police Special 'Celebrating Joan’ To Pay Tribute To Comic’s Life & Legacy

Melissa Rivers and others on Friday will pay poignant tributes to the late Joan Rivers, on “Celebrating Joan,” a 90-minute Fashion Police tribute to the late comedy icon.
In a special preview clip, Melissa stands by her mother’s former post on the E! show and proclaims, "This chair was the place where a woman spoke the truth about celebs and fashion and did it in a way that was hilarious and also 100 percent original."
"Tonight we want to say goodbye the only way my mother would want us to be remembered: the jokes, the unbelievable guests and all the moments on set and behind the scenes that made Fashion Police must-see television around the globe.”
Melissa said the tribute was designed to have viewers doing what her ”mom loved to do most — laugh."
Jennifer Lopez, whose daring fashions often gave Joan plenty of material to riff off of, called the late comic “one of those special forces of life in this world.

As we previously reported, Melissa and her son Cooper inherited the lion’s share of Joan’s $150 million fortune, as officials continues to investigate the chain of events that preceded her Sept. 4 death at 81.
Celebrating Joan airs on E! Friday at 8/7c.
