Britney Spears is ready for her freedom!

It’s been six years since a judge placed Spears under a conservatorship. But she's since grown weary of the influence of her father Jamie, and she’s eager to control her own life again, sources exclusively tell RadarOnline.com.

The Piece Of Me superstar just "doesn't understand why the conservatorship has lasted this long,” an insider tells RadarOnline.com. “She’s so sick of all the bodyguards. And she wants to be out from under her father’s thumb.”

She may be ready to ditch her dad, but the mother of Sean Preston, 8, and Jayden James, 7, has another man on her mind: boyfriend of more than a year David Lucado, 28.

“Her relationship with David has never been stronger,” the insider explains. “She also wants the conservatorship to end so she can be free to marry him.”

As RadarOnline.com exclusively reported earlier this year, the twice-married 32-year-old wants to plan a dream wedding at the late Elvis Presley’s Graceland estate in Memphis, Tennessee.

Despite the millionaire’s desire to be independent, she will likely remain under her father’s care for the foreseeable future, sources reveal.

"Even though Britney is doing very well, there are no plans to end the conservatorship anytime soon,” the insider explains. “Her doctors just don't think she is ready to be on her own yet."
