Chris Brown was taken into custody on Thursday by U.S. Marshals and he will be taken to Washington, D.C. later this week for his assault pre-trial, RadarOnline.com is reporting.
The troubled rapper has been in a Los Angeles jail since March 14 when he was arrested after being thrown out of his rehab treatment center — where he was ordered to stay for his aggressive behavior during his last probation hearing.

Brown's legal troubles in California stem from his conviction in the 2009 assault of his then-girlfriend, Rihanna, for which he's still on probation.
However, Brown, 24, will now be taken to Washington where he was arrested last Oct. and charged with felony assault after an altercation with a fan outside the local W Hotel.
A hearing is set for Monday and if the charges are not dismissed, Brown will stay in a Washington jail until his trial begins on April 17.
