What Drama? Michael Douglas Lounges On Pal's Yacht In Sardinia After Separation Announcement

Michael Douglas sat pensively on a pal's yacht in Sardinia Wednesday, in the first shots we've seen of him since news of his separation from Catherine Zeta-Jones went public.
As we previously reported, Michael took his children with Catherine -- Dylan, 13, and Carys, 10, -- on the trip, while their mother has remained in New York.
A source close to the couple told RadarOnline.com exclusively that “a big divide" developed between the Wall Street star, 68, and Chicago stunner, 43, in the wake of his incarcerated son Cameron's battles with drugs and the law in recent years.
A failed drug test earlier this year landed Cameron in solitary confinement, the source said, leaving the Behind the Candelabra star "beside himself" -- and Catherine ill-equipped to help pick up the pieces.
“Cameron and Catherine never seemed to have a close relationship and I think Michael always felt she just didn’t care for the situation," the source said. "He probably felt there was little sympathy from her, toward him and Cameron.”
Zeta-Jones' publicist Cece Yorke confirmed the stars "are taking some time apart to evaluate and work on their marriage" Wednesday.
The A-list stars have been through a number of trying events in recent years, including Michael's bout with stage IV throat cancer and subsequent chemotherapy; and Zeta-Jones' ongoing treatment for bipolar disorder.
