Amanda Bynes Moved To UCLA Psych Ward, Her Mom Wanted A 'More Private Facility'
Aug. 16 2013, Published 12:07 p.m. ET
Amanda Bynes was transferred on Thursday from the psych facility in Ventura County to the UCLA Medical Center, RadarOnline.com has confirmed.
The decision to move the 27-year-old actress was made by her mother, Lynn Bynes, who was granted temporary conservatorship over her daughter last week.
RadarOnline.com knew the move was coming first, with a source revealing on Monday, “Lynn wants Amanda in a more private facility. It could happen as soon as this week. She will get better care at a private facility."
Indeed, the UCLA Medical Center is touted as one of the best psych facilities in the United States.
After months of erratic behavior, Amanda was involuntarily committed to a psychiatric hospital after setting fire to a stranger's driveway in Thousand Oaks, California, last month.
Amanda's doctors have been treating her for schizophrenia, RadarOnline.com exclusively reported — so with the conservatorship her mother will be in control of all decisions involving her health and finances.
