The X Factor: Music's A-List Join Judges At Home To Evaluate Remaining Hopefuls
Oct. 9 2012, Published 12:00 p.m. ET
Wednesday's edition of The X Factor packs enough musical superstardom to fill a Grammys show, as guest mentors Marc Anthony, will.i.am, Nick Jonas and Justin Bieber (with manager Scooter Braun) counsel the remaining 60 hopefuls at the homes of judges Simon Cowell, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato and LA Reid, respectively.
Simon says his celebrity guest, Anthony, doesn't hold back when it comes to stating his views on his craft.
"I like Marc and he is a good friend of mine and he has, my God, he’s got opinions, Marc, and he is not afraid to share them," Simon said. "He is funny and I trust him and he is both an artist and an executive and I like that combination and I’m very, very comfortable with Marc and I trust him.”
Anthony said he and Simon have been "good friends for years, and we get each other.
"It’s a very weird, bizarre relationship because I don’t even know why I like him, you know?" J.Lo’s ex said. "There’s not much to like, but there’s a lot to respect, I guess."
Britney picked will.i.am as her guest, and the I Got It From My Momma singer said he likes what he's seen out of hit-making colleague of the Fox hit so far.
"Simon said Britney was a mean judge -- Simon said that -- listen, how many times you got to know, it isn’t what Simon says.
"Simon is just saying whatever he’s got to say to throw people off because he’s the mean judge," the Black Eyed Peas singer said. "You know, Simon’s a mean judge. Britney isn’t mean -- she’s just tough."
Demi said she chose Nick as her celeb because of their long ties.
"We've known each other since we were 14 and now we're 20-years-old, and we've continued to have successful careers," she said, adding Nick has "been all over the world, sold so many records and recorded hit songs.
"I mean, he knows what he's talking about."

Nick said he thinks Demi has been excellent in her first season on the show's superstar panel.

"She brings in a whole new audience for the show … and brings some real heart and depth to this panel," the heartthrob said. "And it’s great to see that she’s being honest and up-front about her views and opinions on things, because it is so important … to really be able to give her own opinion and have it really be meaningful.”
The winner of The X Factor will receive a $5 million contract. We'll see what happens when bootcamp finishes up when The X Factor airs on Fox Wednesday at 8/7c.
