Being a prince comes with a lot of baggage – a castle, a crown, and people who only want to date you because of your title, but a group of princes descended upon the unsuspecting ladies of America looking for love based on their true selves, not their titles.

In the hit TLC reality show Secret Princes four guys are dating in the U.S. and trying to find their true loves here to whisk back home to their palaces and Lord Robert Walters spoke exclusively to RadarOnline.com about what kind of girl he was hoping to make his wife.

“I felt like sometimes I was dating a few girls who were yes women,” he said in his charmingly upper crust British accent.

“We’d go out and I would say I love tennis and they say ‘Oh I love tennis,’ and I would say ‘Do you play?’ and they say ‘Well, when I was four I did. I don’t want a yes woman!”

Going undercover and not telling the girls he was meeting that he was royalty was the gift of a lifetime for Lord Robert.

“I decided I’d like to start from scratch. I’d like to date a girl and find out how she would treat me if she knew nothing at all about me, not even that I’m in great shape!”

Keeping his identity as titled British aristocracy secret wasn’t hard, and Lord Robert says he enjoyed getting to know the girls here in the States.

“I warmed to Americans very quickly. I felt an instant connection.”

As for the most famous British princes, Lord Robert says he gets along quite well with the future King of England and his brother.

Prince Harry is a good chap like myself.  He doesn’t take himself too seriously, he has a really good time and he can hang out with just about anybody and enjoy it. Prince William is a little more reserved but still an incredibly nice guy.”

Secret Princes airs on TLC Friday at 10/9c.
