Nick and Vanessa Lachey welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Camden John on Wednesday, RadarOnline.com has learned.

“We are incredibly proud to announce the birth of our beautiful baby boy, Camden John Lachey,” the new parents said in a statement. “Born today at 6:54 p.m., he came into this world at 8 lbs., 9 oz. and 21 inches.

"Love has truly been redefined for both of us.”

Nick announced the big news on Live! With Kelly in March, saying, Vanessa "started to feel a little different, not quite herself, so she went to the store, got a pregnancy test and it came back positive...so we're having a baby!"

Camden is proving to be a popular name for the celeb set, as Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler named their child Camden Jack last month. (Its' meaning is "Uncertain, perhaps 'winding valley.'")

Nick's ex Jessica Simpson became a parent earlier this year as well, with her fiance Eric Johnson.
