There won't be any shortage of funny jokes in their wedding speeches!

Comedian Jimmy Kimmel is heading to the altar with Molly McNearney, his longtime girlfriend and the top writer on his show.

The couple, who have been dating since 2009, announced their engagement on Wednesday, with their spokesperson revealing that the Jimmy Kimmel Live! host popped the question to Molly, 34, while on vacation at Kruger National Park in South Africa.

The 44-year-old ABC talk show host was previously married for 13 years and has two children. Following his divorce, Jimmy had a high-profile relationship with comedian Sarah Silverman for five years.

Kimmel later confirmed the good news on his Twitter page, telling his followers: "Thanks for your kind congratulations, my nuptials are impending as we speak. say a prayer for @mollymcnearney - she has a rough road ahead," he joked.

Before he ties the knot, the next big event on Kimmel's schedule will be hosting the Primetime Emmy Awards on September 23 in Los Angeles.
