Jessica Simpson’s Dad Joe Charged With Two Counts Of DUI

Jessica Simpson’s dad Joe Simpson isn’t ending his summer well – he’s been charged with two counts of driving under the influence.
The two misdemeanor counts of DUI were filed against Joe by the L.A. City Attorney after his arrest on August 4.
Officers suspected him of being under the influence when he was pulled over on Ventura Boulevard around 10pm.
He was taken to the Valley Jail in Van Nuys and was released the following morning at 9:40 am. His bail was $5,000.
Since this is his first offense it isn’t likely that Papa Joe will wind up behind bars but if he is convicted he faces up to 36 months probation and a $1,000 fine.
The same night he was arrested for his DUI his daughter Jessica was writing about her sober Saturday night: “Responsibility has drastically changed my life! Saturday night drink of choice.... WATER! :)”
