Katy Perry's Part of Me arrived at the box office with a thud.
The musical documentary is expected to take in $7.1 million in its opening weekend.
"Earth to Hollywood: no one cares about Katy beyond a handful of tween/teen girls. Not even Russell Brand anymore," wrote Deadline's Nikki Finke of the dismal opening.
The Amazing Spider-Man easily took the weekend, with $65 million. The fantasy flick opened on Tuesday to take advantage of Wednesday's 4th of July holiday, and is expected to have sold $140 million in tickets by the time the weekend wraps up.
