Aretha Franklin Wants To Be 'American Idol' Judge

Aretha Franklin has thrown her hat in the ring to become a judge on American Idol.
"Yes I am interested as a judge!" the legendary singer told Reuters.
As RadarOnline.com has reported, both Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler were dumped from the show, and Randy Jackson's future is uncertain.
The Fox show fell dramatically in the ratings this past season and the producers are looking to retool it.
Mariah Carey and Kanye West are among the stars rumored to be under consideration to get seats at the judges table. But neither of those singers would get nearly as much respect as the Queen of Soul.
