Ann Curry Returns To 'Today' For Colorado Shooting Coverage
July 21 2012, Published 11:00 a.m. ET
Well that was quick! Ann Curry is back on Today as part of NBC's team covering the shooting in Colorado.
Curry's on location in Aurora, Colorado, The Los Angeles Times is reporting. Along with Savannah Guthrie, she'll be part of Today's coverage of the shooting this weekend.
The appearances will be Curry's since her tearful goodbye June 28 when she was unceremoniously pushed out the door as co-anchor with Matt Lauer, replaced by correspondent Guthrie.
Dealing with the victims of crime and natural disaster is where Curry has always shined as a journalist, and NBC obviously decided to play to those strengths in making the assignment.
