It's official — Britney Spears and Demi Lovato are judges on The X Factor!
Britney, 30, made the official announcement on Monday by posting a photo on her Twitter account of herself, Demi, Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid with the caption:
"#britneyxfactor #SimonBritneyDemiLA"
Simon tweeted the same photo saying, "Can't believe it's finally happened. Very exciting!"
Demi and Britney were in New York for the Upfronts where they posed for photos after revealing they filling the void for former judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger.
As RadarOnline.com was first to report, the judge handling Britney's conservatorship had to meet with her and her conservators — her dad and fiancé Jason Trawick — had to get permission from the court for Britney to become a judge on the hit talent show.
"Under terms of the contract, Britney will be paid around $15 million a year. She will travel out of state for auditions, as long as it doesn't interfere with her custodial time with her sons," the insider said.
"The boys will be allowed to come to the set whenever Britney wants them there. Her sons are her number one priority. Jason has been heavily involved in the contract talks."
And Demi joins The X Factor team knowing she was wanted, because Britney petitioned for her to get the gig!
"Britney is extremely hopeful that Demi Lovato will become one of the judges because she truly admires her. Britney loves how open and honest Demi has been with her fans after she went to rehab last year," the source previously told RadarOnline.com.
"She thinks they have a lot in common and that they would have great chemistry on the show. Britney is being kept apprised of the status of ongoing contract talks with Lovato and it is looking like she will be joining the show! Britney is extremely excited for filming to begin, which will be in the next month."
