Whitney Houston's mentor and music mogul, Clive Davis, will be attending the pop singers funeral on Saturday in Newark, New Jersey, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
Davis has faced scrutiny from Whitney Houston's family and Chaka Khan for proceeding with the pre-Grammy party at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, while Houston's body was still in the bathroom where she tragically died last Saturday.
Houston passed away on Saturday afternooon after she was found unconscious and unresponsive in her bathtub at the Beverly Hilton. The award winning singer was declared dead by paramedics at the iconic hotel at 3:55 p.m. PST. She was 48.
"Of course, Clive will be at Whitney's funeral. He went back to New York shortly after the Grammy's. Clive is absolutely devastated by the loss. He had to put on a brave face on Saturday night, but he has been inmourning ever since he heard the news. Clive is absolutely devastated bythe loss," a source close to the situation tells us.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Houston's family was extremely upset that the pre-Grammy party proceeded. ""Even IF Whitney had given her blessing for the party to continue, even that doesn't make it ok. Her body was lying in a room upstairs, dead, for heaven's sake. It was simply in bad taste, period," the source says. "The family just feels like it was very insensitive for the party to continue. Yes, guests were on the way to the hotel at the time when they learned the news, but they could have had a prayer in the ballroom, and then Clive could have, and should have, sent everyone home. The food could have been donated to a local homeless shelter."
A spokesperson for Davis told us, "Mr. Davis, who is mourning the loss of his beloved Whitney, has nothing but the utmost love and respect for the entire Houston family."
