He may have lost out to Frenchman Jean Dujardin for the Best Actor Oscar on Sunday night, but Brit star Gary Oldman has scored big with his latest real estate purchase.
The Tinker Taylor Soldier Spy star has shelled out a cool $2,869,000 for the stunning 3,168 square foot Los Feliz home and RadarOnline.com has photos of the pricey pad, courtesy of Realestalker.com.
Oldman’s new home was built in 1922 and is a two-story Southern Plantation-inspired Colonial that sits on half an acre of land.
The main property comprises of 3 bedrooms and four bathrooms, with an additional bedroom and bathroom atop the detached car garage. There’s dark wood flooring throughout the house and a state of the art kitchen decked out with every gadget you could hope for.
“The dark wood floors extend up the stairs and throughout the second floor where two family/guest bedrooms share a windowed Jack 'n Jill-type facility with marble counter tops and white tile shower/tub combination,” according to Realestalker. “Like the rest of the house, the master bedroom retains original (or vintage or retro-style) fixtures and hardware such as glass door knobs and twin pedestal sinks in the haphazardly updated and upgraded master bathroom that features very long-looking soaking tub with elegant (if narrow) marble surround, outré square white tile floors, and a separate shower stall with a very Less Than Zero glass block detail.”
And, Oldman certainly won’t be short of celebrity neighbors. Also living in the vicinity are Kirstie Alley, Michael Balzary (also known as Flea from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers), Robert Pattinson, Jamie Kennedy and Weeds creator/writer/producer Jenji Kohan.
