A former So You Think You Can Dance choreographer — who spent four years on the hit show — was sentenced on Friday in a Los Angeles courthouse to 10 years in prison for rape.
Alex Da Silva, 43, was arrested in 2009 and charged with eight felony counts of assault stemming from allegations of rape and assault from aspiring dancers between the ages of 20 and 26.
Although Da Silva pleaded not guilty, a jury of four women and eight men found him guilty of rape on a 22-year-old woman from a 2002 incident and guilty of intent to commit rap on a 25-year-old woman during a 2009 incident.
Four other counts, which allegedly happened between 2004 and 2009, were dismissed by the court when the jury deadlocked.
Da Silva will have to register as a sex offender for life.
