Hollywood is heading to the desert!
George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Charlize Theron are just a few of the stars expected to attend The 23rd Annual Palm Spring International Film Festival – and RadarOnline.com has all the details about what to expect at the star-studded festival this week.
Though the festival kicks off on Thursday at the Opening Night Gala, where Emily Blunt will be on hand for a screening of her movie Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, it is the Awards Gala on Saturday night that attracts Hollywood’s A-list.
Presented by Cartier and hosted by Mary Hart, the Awards Gala will be held at the Palm Springs Convention Center, with honorees including George Clooney, Glenn Close, Brad Pitt, Michelle Williams, Jessica Chastain and the film Young Adult.
Where will the stars be staying and partying during the festival?
The Parker Palm Springs is where the stars head after the Awards Gala to party the night away, and several of them end up crashing in one of the resort’s ultra-swanky suites, which run in the thousands of dollars per night.
The uber-hip Ace Hotel has paired up with the Palm Springs International Film Festival to provide the official AfterFest entertainment. Every night they will host parties with live music and DJs in their old ranch hand bar, the Amigo Room.
They will also host some select film screenings, have special guest DJs and serve late night eats in their roadside diner, King’s Highway.
The festival runs through January 16, and 188 films from 73 countries are expected to be screened throughout the week.
