Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kim Richards' decision to enter a rehab facility was not a surprise to her friends and family.

"On Thanksgiving Kim was stumbling and stuttering. It's her normal," a source close to the reality star exclusively told RadarOnline.com.

"She definitely abuses alcohol," the source said. Kim Richards, 47, has admitted on the show to taking a cocktail of prescription pills, including Lexapro, Trazadone and Topamax.

As RadarOnline.com previously reported, Kim entered a rehab facility but the source said this is another thing in the long list of problems Kim has.

"She has been in rehab so many times. She almost died of alcohol poisoning several years ago. Her youngest daughter found her passed out on the floor and called 911 and saved her life," the source revealed.

Her tipsy and teary showdown with her sister, Kyle Richards, on the season one finale was just another cry for help, friends say. They also say the pressures of the show aren't helping Kim's addictions.

"She's desperate for anything to make her relevant but it hasn't yielded any offers for her unlike Kyle, Adrienne, and Taylor. Her family has been supporting her financially for most of her adult life."
