Roy Orbison's widow Barbara died in a Los Angeles hospital Tuesday after a battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 60.
Barbara had been hospitalized at USC Medical Center since May battling the disease; her death fell on the 23rd anniversary of the death of the Pretty Woman singer, who she'll be buried next to at Westwood Village Memorial Park.
"I've spent my lifetime trying to figure love out," Roy Orbison once said, according to his website. "Love ranges from just fascination to something almost spiritual ... in the case with my wife Barbara, it just keeps growing all the time."
Family friend Lisa Swayze, who lost husband Patrick to pancreatic cancer two years ago, told the AP she “always had a warm connection with them both.
“Now we have lost this wonderful lady,” Lisa said.
Barbara, who wed Roy in 1968, is survived by three sons: Wesley, 46; Roy Kelton, 41; and Alexander, 36.
