Not everyone thinks polygamy is the smart choice to make in life.

Kody Brown returns to his hometown in the upcoming episode of Sister Wives and his friends are brutally honest when they tell him they didn’t agree with his decision to marry four women.

“I just thought he was stupid. I couldn’t figure out what was going through in his head.  It made no sense to me how he could do such a thing,” his buddy says in the sneak peek obtained by RadarOnline.com.

The women he grew up with said they were shocked by his decision to have a plural marriage.

“Yes, to those of us that were raised with you, polygamy is just a foreign concept,” another friend says. “No matter what your theological belief is, the fact that you chose to have more than one spouse. So for me it’s just surreal, all of the babies and everything it’s just surreal.”

But, another woman says she thinks it perfectly fits Kody’s life.

“When I found out you were a polygamist I saw it was built in way for you to be the center of attention all the time, which is always how it’s been.”
